Abstract

This patch provides proof of concept level support for author identification for ePrints. Utilising a combination of metafields, screen plugins, InputForms and new data sets this patch modifies the bare bones of the ePrints core. It is offered in the spirit of receiving comment from the community and it is acknowledged that the code is not production ready in its present form. The patch is presently receiving testing and requires UI updates. This patch is authored in such a way to be easily integrated upstream so the core language phrases are modified by this patch. Additionally the default archive configuration is impacted by this change as well so those changes will need to be copied.

Requirements

ePrints 3.1.0 It applies cleanly to ePrints 3.1.3 with the exception of the newer search.pl file - this file is required for the author search form and hopefully an updated patch will resolve this issue.

Installation

Apply the patch as per normal. You will need to update any archives with the patched/added files in the lib/defaultcfg folder.
