Abstract

two XML "subjects" files containing geonames of all countries (grouped by continents) and several ISO languages useful to simply add geolocalization and standard language to your ePrints archive

Installation

## geonames.xml is taken from http://www.geonames.org/countries/ the only modification i did was to rename the continent code (EU -> EUR, AF -> AFR ...), otherwise eprints would have had conflicts (since it threats all subject code at the same level, it was impossibile to differenciate AF (Afghanistan) from AF (Africa) last update on 1 june 2010 ## languages.xml data taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes ## INSTALL i used the xml format because it's more reliable for UTF8 import: bin/import_subjects #instancename# --xml geonames.xml or bin/import_subjects #instancename# --xml languages.xml if you want to import BOTH geonames and languages, combine them in a single file probably you'll want to add to it your subjects and divisions, otherwise they will be overwritten by this import

fell free to use them and, if you improve, send me some feedback! thanks stefano
